LETTERS – Eyesore is an absolute disgrace

I know many people that are totally fed up with local eyesores, either in town or on the outskirts in our local communities.

The corner site at the junction of Carrington Road with Winsover Road Spalding is an absolute disgrace.

The site was previously Burdens Garage before being bought for development, which must be almost a decade ago.

The site is unkempt, degrades the local area and is a local wildlife site in the making within a residential area.

Local authorities should never let this happen, the owners should be made to develop within a three year period in order to stop the demise of the local community.

I have raised this matter before, but how long do we have to put up with this?

The owners of the site do not have to pass this eyesore on a daily basis and the area has become like the poor end of Spalding as if nobody cares.

Even if the site was cleared and turned into a much needed temporary car park, this would be of more benefit to the local area and other amenities.
