LETTERS – Dangerous heaters for sale

From an online advert I recently ordered a small electrical heater.
I was sceptical about its efficiency claims, but considered it a potentially useful experiment.
I have now seen the Which report on this type of heater. The report is devastating and describes such heaters as both illegal and dangerous as well as inefficient.
If any reader is not aware of the report, I strongly advise them to read it before considering buying one of these heaters, which have been sold by some online retailers.
The link to the report is here: https://www.which.co.uk/news/article/illegal-and-dangerous-plug-in-mini-heaters-for-sale-on-online-marketplaces-a8pu66r0ZAlG
P.S. My ordered heater has now arrived. It has no valid safety certificate mark. Its instructions state maximum voltage 220v, while British voltage is typically 240v. I’m now negotiating a refund.
