There are many roads in poor condition around South Holland but I think Cox’s Drove near Crowland is in the worst state I’ve ever come across.
They even closed it, it’s in such bad condition.
I know of four cars that have a damaged wheels down there it’s so bad, and one car suffered damage to the sump.
You could put a building brick in the cracks they’re so wide.
It’s bad enough that someone at some point is going to come off the road one day.
Even before it was closed I’d stopped using it and started doing a three mile detour.
The other day another road was closed and it turned into a 20-mile detour.
The county councillor Nigel Pepper has been really good, but he’s told me that there’s not enough money to repair it.
