LETTERS – Chance to improve junction

Is it me or was this not a fantastic opportunity to improve the junction of Pinchbeck Road and Park Road?

We are all fully aware that this is the worst junction in Spalding. Turning left into Park Road from Pinchbeck Road has always been a nightmare.

Instead of trying to put a small relief road in by cutting the awkward corner off which will improve the turning angle, they simply tart up what’s there.

We are becoming the laughing stock of Lincolnshire.

First the diabolical cock up of “the bridge to nowhere” which wasted millions of pounds, then some bright spark thought ‘let’s widen the cycle lane along Pinchbeck Road when it didn’t need widening causing miserable journeys for many motorists.’

This has led to lengthy roadworks and continuous roadworks for the unforeseeable future.

Now, I guess it’s the same bright spark that has decided to close Woolram Wygate at the train crossing end.

Come on South Holland District Council sack the bright spark and start using some common sense!

Don’t get me started on the weed stopping the water taxi!
