LETTERS – Building noise is constant

My letter is referring to the Link Walk housing development in Long Sutton, and regarding the noise we residents at Anfield Road have to endure.
Our houses are shaking with the large machinery they are using.
I have watched them move mud and water three times from one area into another within 20 metres.
Is this some sort of joke, as the mud and water is now seeping through our fences onto our properties?
Why not take it away in dumper trucks instead of keep moving it up alongside our fences?
Five days a week is bad enough of constant noise but we also have to endure this on Saturday as well.
Are we not entitled to some sort of quality of life and some peace and quiet?
As a shift worker it’s totally impossible to sleep as not only are our properties shaking, so is our furniture and the bed, from 7.30am six days a week.
An email to the council did nothing, they are not interested.
They don’t have to endure this constant barrage of noise six days a week.
