LETTERS – Are we expected to vote blind?

I have a postal vote for the Police and Crime Commissioner election to be returned by May 2 and there are five candidates.
I do not know any one of them, know nothing of their background or where they reside/work and why they should be elected to this important remunerative post. Do they really expect the electorate to vote blind?
No paper/post, no knock on the door. Sorry candidates my papers will stay in their envelope!
