LETTER: Word of warning over plans

I read with interest your article which detailed a proposed development by Seagate Homes which would also involve Crowland Parish Council.

As the long suffering near neighbour of a recently completed, much smaller housing development at Spire View in Holbeach, I would offer a word of caution both to the council and any existing neighbours close to the site.

Please check with both South Holland Council and Lincolnshire County Council before allowing these developers into your community. I and others needed to make many complaints to both in attempts to ensure that these developers and their contractors honoured their promises.

Their lack of consideration, dialogue and integrity was matched only by the inefficiency of some of their chosen contractors, who whenever challenged only responded by directing you back to the developers who showed no interest at all in maintaining “Consideration in Construction”.

I have no doubt that the parish council are doing their best to provide facilities for their residents but please do consider if there are other options available or as the old saying goes “marry in haste, regret at leisure”.
