LETTER: Who knows history of Spalding building?

It was cheering to read that developers are finally hoping to improve the derelict Holbeach Road site (The Spalding Voice, September 14) which was once the home of the Workman’s Institute if the plaque above the door is to be believed.

It would be fascinating to know something of the history of the building and even better if the plaque (pictured below) could be incorporated into whatever new development replaces it as a reminder of the town’s history.
