LETTER: Well done to the Jolly Farmer

This is the season to eat and be merry.

As a diabetic I often get dismayed that restaurants and eating places do not cater for my condition and are unable to provide sugar-free puddings.

It is with great delight that when visiting The Jolly Farmer at Moulton Chapel for a Christmas lunch they cooked me a low sugar /sugar-free pudding.

Yes the organiser of our lunch had requested in advance and the Jolly Farmer happily obliged.

Usually I am offered fruit salad or cheese which I find too heavy after a main course but not this time.

Talking to other diabetics they tell me they cheat on such occasions but checking my blood sugars regularly I know this is not an option for me.

Well done Jolly Farmer.
