LETTER: Traffic in town centre

Could someone tell me if the pedestrian precinct in Spalding town centre has been done away with because I notice when in the town centre there is traffic traveling through at all times of day.

I’ve even seen council vehicles travel through and park outside of Greggs bakery to get their lunch.

Unfortunately the PCSOs just turn a blind eye as they did one day last week.

When in town there were two talking to each other and they never said a word to three people who rode past them on the footpath.

Why do we have the community wardens? They should be outside Boots near the seats and catch the three who sit there throwing beer cans into the flower beds, but I suppose that would be too much hassle – it’s easier to just walk round looking the big I am.

The town these days is a shambles.
