LETTER: Town was lovely 30 years ago

I came to this country from Malta 30 years ago to work in the factories.

Spalding was a lovely place to live and work, and the British people made us welcome.
We never caused any trouble here but the town is not the same pretty place we were used to. Now all you see is dirt, rubbish, spitting and riding bikes on the pavement, which is causing a lot of bad feeling for the Spalding people who have been here and were born here.

They are opening shops which sell the same thing. Why do they need so many shops?
The Europeans are letting the town go down quickly and selling illegal stuff.
