LETTER: Town is becoming a dustbin

Having just read your article “Enough is Enough” in The Voice, I’m not sure if our council members are listening to the townspeople.

I agree completely with their actions on these criminals that we read about week on week, not only has our once beautiful town got more than enough of these of shops with their windows full of awful adverts and the like, we have also more than enough of these takeaway shops as well.

The former Welec shop is in the news, somebody wants to turn it in to a fast food store, I shudder to think what our town planners will do with this application.

Your opening story in this week’s Voice shouts loud and clear that we, the people of Spalding are tired with these types of businesses on the pretence that jobs are being made.

Our town is being turned very quickly in to a dustbin!!
