LETTER: Toilets don’t need replacing

Regarding the report by Quarterbridge Project management on the front page of your newspaper.

To quote from the report “the town of Spalding has potential to become more successful and lively”.

Many of the proposals in that report could well realise these aims but one I found made no sense was “remove unsightly public conveniences in Sheep Market and replace with modern facilities”.

Are they unsightly? I think not. Possibly an internal spruce up would be welcome.

In their present position they are certainly convenient for the market and also free.

Would any modern replacement be free, accessible and convenient?

If not, it would be a guaranteed way to deter people from shopping in Spalding and it’s market.
