LETTER: Thanks to everyone who helped us

On behalf of all members of the Rotary Club of South Holland, I am delighted to thank everyone who helped us stage a successful and enjoyable Charity Golf Competition at Surfleet on Thursday, August 22.

Now all the financial accounting has been completed we can announce a surplus of just over £3,000 for Rotary’s work in the community.

We wish to express our thanks to our many sponsors especially our principal sponsors Howdens, all the other companies and individuals who donated raffle prizes, the office, bar and groundstaff at Spalding Golf Club and, of course, the 64 players who turned out on the day.

The winners of the “pairs betterball” competition were Stewart Sharp and John Crampton with a score of 50 points. Several other prizes were awarded to second, third and other players in the competition.

Anyone wishing to learn more about the work of the Rotary Club of South Holland, wishing to help us or to join is welcome to contact our Secretary Ian Smee on 01775 714722 or contact us through our website at southhollandrotary.org.uk
