LETTER: Thanks for supporting walks

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support the snowdrop walk at Whaplode St Mary’s Church in February.
The weather was variable but did not stop over 600 people attending. Everyone enjoyed the peaceful woodland walk through the carpet of snowdrops that continued to looked wonderful throughout with amazing feedback.
The visit ended in the 900-year-old church with a warm welcome, refreshments and sales of snowdrops, raffle tickets and merchandise. There was a great atmosphere with old and new friends chatting with the church volunteers who were there to welcome everyone who came along to enjoy this annual event.
We raised £3,500 for which we are so very grateful and will be added to the much needed replacement roof fund.
Work has already started on the snowdrops for 2027 and we look forward to welcoming you next year.
