LETTER: Thanks for making it a success

I would like to take the opportunity to thank all those who have helped me with this year’s food and craft festival which I would like to think was our best so far.
A big thank you to my volunteer stewards Sally, Chris, Tracey, Jane and Nanette and to Malcolm and Nanette for delivering hundreds of leaflets for me.
Special thanks to the Holbeach Air Cadets who spent the weekend litter picking and helping with car parking, they were just brilliant.
Richard Stone took a massive weight off my shoulders organising all the electrics for the various stands and South Lincs Security did an excellent job of securing the site over the weekend, a great relief to me!
Particular thanks to Paul Freeman (Lincolnshire Police) for being there when I needed him.
Thank you to the parks staff and Holbeach Parish Council for their help and co-operation and a bit of promotion for Wells Marquees who had to solve a number of problems to get the main tent to its final location. Trees and narrow gates were quite a challenge!
Royals Gym did a great job with the strongman competition and massive thank you to all our stallholders old and new, without your support it would not happen and I was really pleased that you all had a successful weekend.
Finally a big thank you to all the people of Holbeach and South Holland for supporting the event, we were blessed with the weather.
It was a wonderful family atmosphere and as many stallholders said to me, it was so nice to meet old friends and make new acquaintances.
I have now managed this event for eight years and I have decided it is time to step down from this, the pressures and bureaucracy are starting to tell but I very much hope I can find someone to take this on to keep this wonderful event going in the future.
Thanks you all.
