LETTER: Refuse staff are a credit to depressing Spalding

Referring to a letter published in The Voice (August 10) from M Moriarty, I absolutely agree with the comments regarding Spalding.

I moved to the Fens five years ago and every time I have been to Spalding, my husband and I always say ‘never again’.

We have never been there without getting held up in some roadworks, far too many Eastern European shops with gaudy PVC windows.

It is such a shame as there are some great shops in the town but it’s so frustrating. There is now only one reason we visit Spalding, and that is to go to the refuse tip where, I must point out, unlike Wisbech where you get absolutely no help, the staff always help you. They are a credit to a very depressing town.
