LETTER: Post Office demand is increasing

Further to the news that the Co-op is now not proposing to re-open the Post Office service at the revamped Whaplode Service station, I agree with Councillor Malcolm Chandler that this is a short sighted decision.

With the level of new housing that is being proposed and built in Whaplode, the demand for the Post Office service is increasing.

If we have to go to Holbeach or Moulton to use their Post Office, then that is where we and I imagine other residents will do our shopping, and not the new service station.
