LETTER: Please, not another expensive council mistake like Red Lion Quarter

I read with interest (The Voice, February 16) our local council wish to spend millions of pounds on new workspace to let commercially on a for-profit basis.

Do the councillors propose to use the same business model as they very successfully did on the Spalding Red Herring Quarter?

I propose they take another look at this colossal faux pas before wasting another tranche of our money.

I have not heard anyone say we have a surplus of modern, attractive, efficient council housing.
If we have a surplus of public money let’s not spend it on another “glory to me, look at my legacy” carbuncle.
