LETTER: Parking charges punish small communities

I note the extraordinary notices concerning parking charges which appeared a while ago.

Introducing parking charges to small communities which currently have none would punish small places with retail sectors already struggling to survive.

At the eastern end of the district, there is also the added ‘draw’ whereby the nearest sizeable town, Wisbech, has free car parking as do all communities in Fenland district.

I do note that “King’s Road”, Sutton Bridge is mentioned on the notices.

There is no such place.

Could it be that this error is evidence that South Holland’s parking affairs are now run from the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea rather than from Breckland in Norfolk?
