LETTER: No Deal Brexit is worse for the EU

I am irritated to read or hear EU spokespersons and Remain supporters ranting on about how damaging a No Deal Brexit would be to the UK economy.
No mention is ever made of the reciprocal damage to the EU economy.
My understanding is that the ratio of trade is about 3:2 in favour of the EU.
This means, that they sell more to us than we buy from them.
In the event of a No Deal Brexit, a possible two mile queue of waiting lorries at Dover would equate to a possible three mile queue at Calais.
The EU, will pay the UK more in tariffs than we would pay to them.
It follows, that the EU have more to gain from a good tax free trade with the UK than the other way. round.
Our gainsayers always distort or ignore this simple fact when they are ranting on trying to get the UK to capitulate to the unreasonable demands of the EU.
The EU are trying to impose terms on the UK that they have never tried to impose on any other country.
In the event of a No Deal Brexit, Germany would suffer the most in the EU.
I do not believe that Angela Merkel would allow that to happen.
Remember the saying: “He who pays the piper calls the tune”, and Germany is the Pay Master in the EU.
The talks have been dragging on for years, because the EU is waiting for the UK to cave in to their unreasonable demands.
We should end this never ending talking game and simply walk away.
The EU – and their supporters – want us to believe that the UK needs a deal more than they do. That is simply untrue.
It is in everyone’s interest to settle a good free trade agreement
