LETTER: Nice to see support for hospital

On visiting the Tulips football ground on Saturday, September 5, it was so nice to see what a big change the new consortium has made.

Everywhere clean, neat and tidy, the new snack bar is excellent. I would go to the lengths to say the food should have a five star rating.

The chairman and directors were around the football grounds greeting and talking to people. This is what it needed.

But what touched our hearts was it was nice to see they are keen to help our local Johnson Hospital.

There were two lovely ladies selling raffle tickets for a brand new car from EMG.

The ladies were a pleasure to talk to and certainly knew how to treat the public. Well done ladies, there ought to be more people in this world like you. We will be buying more tickets off you and urge everyone to support you.

We all need our local hospital for something so come on everyone and dig deep in your pockets – it’s for all our benefits.

We did see Jake Whiteley taking photos of the ladies and the car. We hope Spalding United will put it up in the club house.

Well, we will close now by saying a very big thank you to everyone who allowed these two ladies into the ground to raise money for the local hospital which we could not do without.
