LETTER: Is recent amount on top of £10b?

Funding levels seem to change as much as the position of PM these days.

In Autumn 2016 the Tory government had pledged an additional £10 million of investment per year in real terms by 2020/21.

This was to allow the NHS to offer 800,000 more operations and treatments and spend up to £2 billion more on new drugs.

So was this recent amount promised already there or is it on top of the £10b per year?

We are lucky we still have so many special people working in the NHS that are so dedicated in looking after us while being under so much strain.
