It was inspiring to hear Sir John Hayes speaking in the House of Commons last week about sufferers from acquired brain injury.
This is a cause on which he has led the way for many years, drawing on his own personal experience. The detailed, measured and valuable report which the All Party Group he co-chairs has produced is a blueprint for what needs to be done and a model for Parliament working at its best.
The debate which John helped to secure could restore anyone’s faith in Parliament: intelligent speeches, a collegiate approach and excellent recommendations.
As Amanda Halifax said in your paper last week, we have an MP to be proud of.
