LETTER: Impressed with Spalding’s Munro Medical Surgery

I recently visited the Munro Medical Centre in Spalding as a new patient and was impressed with the facility.

Making an appointment was easy and you get an automatic reminder via text message, so there is no excuse for missing that valued appointment with the doctor or nurse as their time is at a premium.

Although the practice supports many patients the centre has some very good processes and procedures in place, which I thought were very efficient.

I was early for my appointment and was seen early by the nurse.

I do realise our NHS is under so much pressure with the lack of resources and funding it so rightly deserves.

A quality service cannot be delivered on a shoestring budget. But I will keep politics out of this letter for a change as it’s all about the people that make this facility what it is and what it provides the local community.

In one of the waiting areas I noticed a comments and suggestions box for any ideas on how the staff can help or improve the service. I declined filling in a form, hence this open letter.

Locally we are lucky to have such a wonderful facility in the Munro Centre and I would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff for the care and attention they give us all.
