LETTER: How many miners are left now?

I remember the miners going on strike in the 80s. They caused no end of trouble.
I was a serving police officer at the time and we had to send officers to help the local forces.
If today’s strikers look at the results of that prolonged action, they might think again. How many miners are left in England?
