LETTER: Hayes said what many thinking

Our hard-working local MP John Hayes has always been known as a “Eurosceptic” and so it was no surprise (though very welcome) that he’s now backing the “out” camp in the upcoming referendum on the European Union.

I read John’s article on the Voice website and he’s spot on when he says that the EU today is nothing like the common market we joined back in 1973.

John Hayes has said what many of us will be thinking when we vote on June 23 – it’s time for Britain to leave the EU and make our own way in the world, free from the shackles of the EU.
