LETTER: Grass cut is not great for residents

I am attaching photographs of the grass cutting carried out by South Holland District Council or its contractors.

These photos show the level of disrespect that our esteemed council holds for it residents and its wage payers.

These photos were taken two days after the May 2018 cut, (roll on the next cut in August!). This particular area is outside of the property of a disabled lady, who, with her walking frame can be seen crossing Falklands Road to sit on a manky wooden bench where she hopefully gets to speak to at least one person. Now however she will become even more isolated, having caught her foot in the long grass and falling over. Maybe not a nice juicy reportable injury, but a lady who is now scared to cross the road that she lives on.

This farce of twice yearly grass cutting is a disgrace to our village and our county, but the ones who should feel ashamed and disgraced at their own lack of ability to show common sense and pride in their surroundings.
