In your recent article titled “Good Causes Get Council Cash Help”, there was an omission.
Coun Francis Biggadike was invited to the annual awards/barbeque night held by 3rd Holbeach Town Scout Group last July and was so impressed by the enthusiasm of our young people and the dedication and commitment of our leaders that he immediately donated £1,000 of his designated members’ budget to us to help with the refurbishment of our kitchens and toilets.
Thanks to his generosity and that of Chosen and the Grange Wind Farm Community Fund we are in a position that we can schedule the refurbishment to commence during the summer shut down.
We only have £2,000 left to raise now, if any business, institution or individual wishes to donate to this project, which will create a hall that can be used by the whole of Holbeach community, please contact me.
