LETTER: Record amount raised at Rotary golf day

Final accounts are now in for the Rotary Club of South Holland 2015 charity golf day.

The event raised a record £2,780 for Rotary charities.

That money will be well used to help the sick, disabled and needy – most of them here in Spalding, but some overseas.

We have played our part, for example, in the Rotary International campaign to rid the world of poliomyelitis – a herculean task now almost complete.

We thank Spalding Golf Club and all the golfers, sponsors and helpers who made that outstanding result possible.

The golf day is just one of the many charitable and social events which our members enjoy.

We’re busy recruiting new members now (men and women) – so if you might be interested, please check our website www.southhollandrotary.org.uk, or call secretary Ian Smee on 01775714722 to learn more.
