Leisure League is proving three-sy for Polishborough

Polishborough are the only side in Division One of the Spalding six-a-side Leisure League to have a 100 per cent record from three games after battling past Brennan’s Sports on Monday.

Captain Tomasz Rabiega picked up his third man-of-the-match gong in the physical clash, as Borough went two points clear at the top.

Earlier in the night at Glen Park, Baltic United ran out 5-0 winners against Balotellitubbies – who are still looking for their first points.
Edgaras Buzas shone for a very well organised Baltic.

Simple FC were then turned over 1-2 by Univeg Team in a high tempo but niggly clash. Univeg Team captain Jiri Spacek got the nod as man of the match.

The other game in the top flight saw EPH Allstars run out 3-0 winners against the Punchbowl Tigers, thanks largely to the fantastic individual ability of Liam Groves.

In Division Two, Dynamo Kiev took on Class On Grass, in a thoroughly entertaining game. Class ran out 1-0 winners, but Kiev’s Zack Lucas was named star man.

The next game of the second division was the most one-sided of the night, with Posh Old Boys running out 5-1 winners against a make-shift Luis Suarez Ate My Hamster.

Defender Juan Carlos Escobar picked up his second man-of-the-match gong despite shipping five goals.

Match three saw Le Saux Solid Crew see off mid-table rivals Sarah’s Boys 2-1. Cam Walker’s fine show earned him the MOTM award.

The final game of the night was Old Boy Coaches edged out Mail Carters 2-1. Trevor Laud made the difference with a man-of-the-match performance.

Monday’s fixtures: D1 – 7pm Brennan’s Sports v Punchbowl Tigers; 7.30pm Polishborough v Balotellitubbies; 8pm Baltic Utd v Univeg; 8.30pm EPH Allstars v Simple FC.
