Legoland in lockdown fun

Coronavirus didn’t stop brothers Noah (7) and Elliot Ford (4) celebrating their birthdays thanks to mum Melissa organising Legoland in Lockdown – complete with a Lego-themed afternoon tea.

The boys were looking forward to a weekend at Legoland as a joint birthday treat but it had to be cancelled due to the current pandemic.

Melissa was determined not to let it ruin their birthdays so arranged a day full of games complete with afternoon tea, supplied by Spalding firm House of Gingerbread Afternoon Teas.

Melissa, of Spalding, said: “The boys both have birthdays in March but decided not to have parties and go to Legoland instead. We were due to go this month in hope of better weather.

“House of Gingerbread is providing no contact afternoon teas, adapting because of the virus.

“They went above and beyond to deliver a Lego-themed tea for my boys.

“The company is also providing free afternoon teas to nominated key workers and has included local schools in this too.”
