Learn the art of playing brass

Holbeach Town Band will be opening its doors for Learn to Play Week.

For the 19th year, the band will be holding sessions from 2pm to 4pm for the week beginning Monday, April 4.

Anyone interested in learning a brass instrument is welcome to go along for free.

The week has been arranged to coincide with the schools’ Easter break and spaces must be booked in advance from 30 minutes up to two hours.

Organisers are stressing that the week is not just for children.

“The band’s experts will be on hand to show you how to play a wide range of brass instruments, cornet, tenor horn, baritone, euphonium, trombone and tuba,” said a spokesman.

“The band will be able to teach you how to play an instrument and how to read music.”
