League leaders too strong for Tigers

Early Thurlow Nunn Division One North League leaders Harwich proved too strong for Holbeach United at Carter’s Park on Saturday.
In particular it was the Suffolk side’s Danny Garrad who netted a hat-trick to give his side all three points and make it five wins from six.
The Tigers started brightly but were unable to take their chances before Garrad gave the visitors a 20th minute lead.
He then netted his second before the break and third in the second half as Holbeach fell to defeat.
It came on the back of the 2-1 loss in the League Cup to Pinchbeck United as Ryan Cook’s goal was overturned by the visitors last Wednesday.
Following that Holbeach made two signings from higher levels.
Former youth player Dan Roberts has returned to the club after previously playing with Swaffham Town and Wisbech Town.
Also returning to Carter’s Park is Jordan Oldham who has made the move permanently after a spell at Deeping Rangers.
