Leadership award for cadet

A Spalding police cadet has been awarded a place on a prestigious programme run by the Rotary Club.
The 15-year-old pupil at Spalding High School gave a presentation about her experiences and received the Rotary Youth Leadership Award.
Zuzanna Poznaniak (pictured) has recently received Lincolnshire Police’s Young Person of the Year Award, having been selected by her fellow cadets.
Rotarian Peter Start said: “Zuzanna is an inspiring young person and she will be an excellent candidate.”
Cadet leader Jim Tyner told the Rotary Club: “Zuzanna is someone who takes command, aspires to raise standards and has integrity in everything she does. The other cadets see her as friendly and approachable and someone who will always check on her peers and support and guide them when needed.”
The leadership course is a two-and-a-half day residential programme for young people aged 13 to 16 and helps develop life skills.
Zuzanna will explore problem solving, approaches to leadership, creative ways of conflict management and arranging youth activities.
Outside of the cadets, Zuzanna also practices Tae Kwando and has won international and national medals within the sport.
