Leaders sink Sutton with seven

Long Sutton Men had a day to forget in Division Two North West of the East League, crashing 7-0 at home to leaders Bourne Deeping.
Sutton Seconds’ hopes of going joint top of the Division 4NW were dashed by a Newmarket seconds side, who claimed their first win of the season with a 3-0 success.
Two goals from Alex Wilkinson inside the opening 12 minutes put Long Sutton 3s Development well on their way to a 5-1 victory over St Ives 5s in Division 6NW.
Isaac Blundy-Gent also found the net twice and Peter Howe made it 5-0 before the visitors grabbed a late consolation.
While Sutton ladies first team were going down 3-0 at Spalding, the second team were enjoying a 3-2 success against St Ives 4s after twice hitting back from behind.
They conceded a 35th-minute opener but a junior levelled five minutes later. The visitors regained the lead, only for Lyn Sullivan to make it 2-2, with the junior grabbing her second to complete victory.
