Large field fire in Pode Hole

Emergency services are dealing with a huge fire in a field near Pode Hole today (Friday, July 7).

Local residents have reported smoke billowing from the location south of Spalding.

Aerial shots captured by Lara Cole show the scale of the damage and a tractor looks to have also been involved.

A spokesman for Lincs Fire and Rescue, said: “Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue have responded to a field fire this afternoon near Pinchbeck where six fire crews have been using hose reels and beaters to extinguish a fire involving approximately 650 square metres of stubble and loose straw, with farm machinery being used to create a fire break.”
