Ladies take Burghley to Task(er)

Tydd St Giles ladies enjoyed a 9-5 win over Burghley Park in the Tasker Trophy, played singles matchplay home and away over two rounds.

Tydd returned from the away leg with a 5-2 lead but had to be at their best in a hard-fought return, eventually prevailing 4-3.
The club’s Men’s B team drew 3-3 at home to South Kyme in the A & B Team competitions: Joe Kellegher and Graeme Barritte won 1 up, Wayne Jupp and Daniel Monaghan lost 3&2, Jon Schultz and Clive Barber won 4&3, Neil John and Isaac Chaplain-Barton lost 3&2, Derek Kneebone and Mark Cooper won 4&3, David Woodcock and Steve Dewey lost 3&2.
The A team were at Sudbrook Moor and lost 3½-2½: Harry Turner and Bradley Martin lost 6&5, Mick Vassall and Ady Bills halved, Luke Rowell and Ady Rowell lost 2&1, Ryan Rout and Lee Belger won 4&3, Oscar Panton and Andy Brooks lost 4&3, Brad Simpson and Shane Millar won 1 up.
