Ladies and seniors team up

Female and senior golfers took part in a friendly AmAm to raise funds for Dementia UK.

The event took place on Thursday, August 14, at Tydd St Giles Golf Club and was organised by ladies’ captain Maria Taylor-Vassall.

They raised £50 for her charity Dementia UK.

The winning team, with 83 points, was Petra Meir, Victoria Newling, Tom Ainsley and Russell Doy.
Taylor-Vassall thanked all for taking part making a great day of golf.

Other results: Seniors’ Bob Johns Cancer Research Team Stableford – 1st John Leake, Ian Jones, Alfie Collins and Shaun Shales with 116 points, 2nd Michael Corbett, Dave Leedle, Jonathan Schultz and Ken Doughty with 115 points.

On the day £409 was raised for charity and a donation will be made to Cancer Research UK’s Wisbech branch later in the year.

Division 2 – 1st Kev Johnson 94-22=72, 2nd (ocb) Peter Williams 91-18=73, 3rd Dave Punshon 92-19=73. Division 3 – 1st Malcolm Miller 99-28=71, 2nd (ocb) Ken Walker 104-32=72, 3rd Richard Martin 102-30=72.

  • Sutton Bridge played away against Tydd St Giles Golf Club and came home with a 5-1 loss.
    In the Norman Davis Niblick, the score was a win by 27 holes to Tydd St Giles.
