Laddies Ices has Holbeach Christmas contest licked

Ice cream and sweets shop Laddies Ices has won the Holbeach Christmas Window competition.

The competition launched in December and saw the town adopt a festive feel as participating shops dressed their windows.

Judith Snowden from Laddies Ices said: “It’s great to be a part of something like this that makes a difference to the town.”

The windows were judged by Holbeach parish councillors Isobel Hutchinson and Paul Foyster, along with coun Nick Worth.

Coun Worth said: “There is such a buzz in the town over the competition, you can tell that the shopkeepers have worked really hard to get involved.”

Second place was awarded to newcomer Crafty Dotty, a gift shop that opened in 2017. Joint third place went to Swepstones and Caffe Aurora.
