Last Friday saw the play-offs for the Mixed Pairs, Captains’ and Ladies’ competitions in Dewhursts Trophies Pinchbeck & District Summer Darts League, held at the Services Club, Spalding.
With only 13 couples entering the Mixed Pairs, it was the husband and wife pairing of Tony and Eva Spinks of the Lincoln Arms D qualifying for the final along with Ash Allen and Lacie Brookin, of Pied Calf.
It was a double success for Brookin, booking her place in the ladies’ final with wins over Sharon Barnard and Eva Spinks.
She will play defending champion Stacey Banister, of Lincoln Arms D, who beat Chloe Spinks and Athena Overton to complete the line-up.
The Captains’ Cup final will see Dan Gent (Lincoln Arms D) playing Rob Green (Consti Club Z).
Gent secured his place with victories over Paul Faulkner and Steve Rawding. Green overcame Sarah O’Driscoll and Scott Baldwin to take his spot.
Playing a catch-up game in Division B, Consti Club B moved within two points of the leaders with a game in hand after winning 16-11 away at Lincoln Arms C. For the Lincoln, there were 180’s for Steve Doades and Nigel Goodwin. Goodwin beat Matt Broderick in his singles game.
Scott Lawrence had a 180 in the last singles winning 3-0 against Tony Brown to secure his team’s victory.
