Ozzie the Labrador was on familiar ground when he collected his prize for winning this year’s Festive Pet competition.
The Spalding Voice’s seasonal contest attracted a plethora of entries from right across South Holland.
Every type of pet from a sleigh-pulling Guinea pig to cats in hats joined the party.
But there could only be one winner and Maddy Corby sent in a photo of her dog Ozzie.
He is well-known at pet store Rooke’s, which sponsored the competition, but no member of staff was on the judging panel.
Maddy (17) is studying animal care and hopes to work with dogs when she finishes her education.
She took Ozzie on a walk to Rooke’s to collect the £100 vouchers they won in the competition.
He will be sharing the prize with the family’s hamster, budgie and pet rabbit.
