A Spalding woman who specialises in creating mini artefacts has once again been a star at a national showcase.
Kit Meggitt has honed her craft since becoming entranced with a doll’s house aged six.
She’s been a regular at he Miniatura Show which showcases such skills to over 2,000 enthusiasts of all ages.
This year’s was held at Stoneleigh Park near Coventry and Kit’s exhibitions took the route of ‘house puns’.
These included ‘The Safe House’ which was covered in keys, representing a home full of memories.
Kit also put on a workshop making advent boxes for a tree bauble or a Christmas scene.
They were created from card and twine, the project was designed to be worked on during a short session or taken home to finish at leisure.
A spokesman for Miniatura described Kit as their ‘local fan’.
“Partners who had been lured around became animated by the models, and for youngsters it was pure magic,” the spokesman said. “Crafting talent can encourage young people for a lifetime and can encompass computer use too.”
