Kitchen launch means fresh meals on menu at Spalding school

Pupils can look forward to tucking into tasty meals when they return to school after the half-term holiday.

St Paul’s Primary School and Nursery officially unveiled its new kitchen last week, which will enable the school to provide pupils with fresh, nutritious hot meals when they return on Monday.
The school joined forces with Lincolnshire County Council and PKL to create the “amazing” facility at its site in Queen’s Road, Spalding.
To mark the opening, parents and pupils were invited to experience the quality of the food which will be prepared in the kitchen at taster sessions.
There was also a tea party after school to officially open the facility.
Headteacher Kira Nicholls said: “Healthy eating is high on everyone’s agenda and certainly at St Paul’s.
“We want the very best for our pupils and this facility, run by our new catering staff Sharon Kenny and Karen Martindale, will give them the best hot school meals possible”.
Miss Nicholls also thanked the council, PKL and the school’s business manager Nicki Enfield for bringing the project to fruition.
