Holbeach United are being urged to end their season on a high at Carter’s Park on Saturday.
The Tigers welcome relegation-threatened Harborough Town in their 40th and final UCL Premier Division match of a very up and down campaign (3pm), knowing that a win will guarantee them fourth place in the table.
Victories have been hard to come by for Darren Jarvis’ side lately, with Holbeach having drawn each of their last four games.
They’ve also not won in six outings, with their last three points coming against Oadby Town on March 28.
But Jarvis, who welcomes back Andrew Tidswell, Stacy Cartwright and skipper Jamie Clarke to the squad, wants his Tigers to rediscover that winning feeling amid what is expected to be a party atmosphere.
“It’s the last day of the season and we’d like to finish in style,” said the Holbeach manager. “I think the club, the fans and also the players deserve a positive finish to the campaign.
“It’d be great to end with a great performance and three points.
“I know a lot of the players are bringing their family and friends down to the game, so hopefully there will be a really good atmosphere.
“We’ve struggled to get sides out in recent weeks and the end of the season won’t be a bad thing for us.
“But I’m confident we can end with a big win, especially having three quality players like Andrew, Jamie and Stacy back in the squad.”
