Jenson karts off with trophy

A ten-year-old from Whaplode has landed his first national karting trophy.

Jenson Darlow took up the sport 18 months ago, following in mum and dad Tim and Sarah’s wheeltracks.

He earned third place in the Micro Max category of the national Kart Championship and was presented with the trophy recently at Drayton Manor Theme Park.

Jenson travelled around the country over six rounds competing with the Jaxx Motorsports team.

Sarah said: “He’s over the moon.

“He’s picked up a few podiums and trophies over the season but this is his first trophy from a championship.

“He’s improved this year and is really making strides.”
