JDM hand leaders a rare loss

Half-term hit the Spalding and District Table Tennis League resulting in a postponement and two unfinished matches.
On the other hand the league are now getting a regular group of visitors, five coming this time.
Bladerunners are hanging on to the lead at the top of Division One after losing their match to JDM 3-2, who drop to fourth despite the win.
Phil Chandler was on good form for the winners and took two of their points, with Jon Chesworth adding the winning point in the last game of the match.
Outsiders stay in second spot following a 3-2 win over Mine’s a Pint.
Piotr Olstowska picked up a double, with Joe Beadle adding a third.
Jeremy Hitcham won for the losers and teamed up with Andrew Hay to get a second point in the doubles. Jokers are level on points, but sit in third because they have won less.
They defeated Nets and Edges 5-0 with Phil Coote and Sasha Martin both getting doubles.
Four games ended in three but Coote had to fight off a comeback from Reece Kerry for his second.
Martin then teamed up with Guntars Briedes for the doubles.
In Division Two, MatDuf returned to the top with a 3-2 win over Sons of Anarchy.
Adam Sokol won both points for Anarchy, with Jonathan Matthews and Stewart Duffill sharing the points with a win each and the doubles.
Earlier, Anarchy completed the singles in their match started last week against Chunky and Monkey Junior. Tom Coley notched up another win for CMJ while Sokol scored for Anarchy.
MatDuf are now three clear of Hurricane Brothers who have an unfinished match in hand.
Skidlids jump two places to third with a 4-1 victory over Win for a Curry. Richard Matthews took two, though he had to come from behind to defeat Phil Knowles, and was supported with a win from Clive Shardlow.
A match at the foot of the table between Casey’s Pingers and Castle Sports had just two games played, with Pingers’ James Coote picking up two wins.
Last night (Wednesday) saw a return to the Moulton Shield action.
