Jake is charity’s top ambassador

A charity has named a Spalding 16-year-old as its Youth Ambassador of the Year.

Jake Winkett was presented with the trophy by KidsOut’s CEO Stewart Moulds last Saturday at a charity mediumship evening at the Women’s Institute Hall in Holbeach.

He’s collected gifts in the run up to the festive period every year since he was eight.

In January 2021 he was named an official ambassador for KidsOut and carried out fundraising efforts, including sponsored walks.

The mediumship night raised a fantastic £1,250.

Mum Julie said: “He was delighted to receive the award however he says fundraising is something he enjoys doing and will continue as long as he can as an ambassador for KidsOut.

“I am very proud of Jake and the award was an unexpected surprise.”
