Jackson and Tinkler take top awards at Holbeach United presentation night

The top awards were spread out at Holbeach United’s end of season presentation night last Saturday.

Captain Nick Jackson landed the coveted player’s player of the season prize, while Spencer Tinkler took home the manager’s player of the year gong and the first team’s clubman award.

Teenage talent Dan Dougill’s breakthrough season was rewarded with the young player of the season prize and Josh Ford claimed the top scorer trophy after bagging 24 times in all competitions.

Ford, who has been linked with a move to ChromaSport UCL Premier Division rivals Wisbech Town, also collected the first team’s Tigers Social Club award, while keeper Ricky Drury landed the supporters’ player of the season accolade.

Awards were also dished out to the Reserves, with the players’ player prize given to Jimmy Ward.

Club legend Dean Elston walked away with the manager’s player of the season and Tigers Social Club award, while Tom Gosling picked up the golden boot after netting 17 times.

Lewis Harker – who broke into the first team at the end of the campaign – claimed the young player of the season gong and the supporters’ player crown, while Scott Powley landed the clubman accolade.

Meanwhile, Holbeach are looking for fresh sponsorship ahead of the new season. They have numerous opportunities to advertise – be it programme sponsorship, sponsoring a player or even placing an advertising board around our ground.
