It’s beginning to look a lot like…..

Details have been revealed about Spalding’s Christmas celebration.

It will take place in the town centre from 11am to 5pm on Saturday, November 25.
Among the attractions will be a performance by Rapunzel and a chance to meet the princess after.
There will also be a fancy dress competition with the winner getting to turn on the Christmas tree lights following carols by candlelight.
Live music and a variety of street entertainment will be on offer for all to enjoy, including the cast of this year’s South Holland Centre’s pantomime – Beauty and the Beast.
Organised by South Holland District Council chairman, Counc Andrew Woolf, Father Christmas will be making a stop at Santa’s Grotto in Calthrops Solicitors to hear what everyone wishes for Christmas this year.
Also there will be a host of Christmas-themed stalls alongside the usual market and fantastic array of shops.
The Elf Trail will be returning with 30 cheeky elfs hiding in those shops for children to find.
Coun Tracey Carter, deputy leader and portfolio holder for communities and operational housing, said: “With Christmas less than eight weeks away and with many already getting into the festive spirit – Saturday, November 25 will certainly be a date for the diary, the team have been hard at work organising the event which has a little something for everyone to enjoy.
“Not only will this event be popular with local families looking for activities over the Christmas holidays, it will also help support our wonderful high street businesses and market traders at this vital time of year; I’d like to encourage as many residents and visitors to come along to this event so we can make it a real success.”
